The article I found the most relative to our purposes was a study conducted in a rural Texas nursing school, where baccalaureatestudents were required to use PDAs or personal digital assisstants to improve there resources availability while in the classroom and in clinical. The abstract for the article can be viewed here. The article is entitled Empowering a safer practice: PDAs are integral
tools for nursing and health care, and was published in the Journal Of Nursing Management in 2011.
PDAs are handheld devices that are frequently used as organizer and have Internet connectivity capables. There are many different styles and brands, however, most pens or styluses to navigate their screens and should not be confused with public displays of affection!
